Conditions Which Generate This Code:

EID 1488 Autonomous Machine not in Autonomous Zone

Event EID 1488 Autonomous Machine not in Autonomous Zone occurs when a truck being changed to autonomous mode is not located in the autonomous area, a truck currently functioning autonomous leaves the autonomous area or when the autonomous area is changed to no longer include the area the truck is currently located. When this event code is activated, the autonomous mining truck (AMT) will come to a complete controlled stop. Follow this procedure if event EID 1488 occurs.

Note: Ensure that all position-related diagnostic codes and event codes are cleared prior to beginning this procedure.

Test Step 1. LOCATE AMT.

  1. Locate the AMT and manually return to the autonomous area.

Expected Result:

AMT is returned to autonomous area and EID 1488 clears.

Results:

  • AMT is returned to the autonomous area and EID 1488 clears. - STOP

  • Event code still active. AMT is located in or has been returned to Autonomous Area and no other event or diagnostic codes are active. Contact Caterpillar technical support with the information that has been gathered. - STOP
