Usage:

(1) Tighten bushing (1) to a torque of ... 245 ± 15 N·m (180 ± 10 lb ft)

(2) Zero rack pin hole (LH).

(3) Timing pin hole.

(4) Zero rack pin hole (RH).

(5) Fuel inlet from secondary filter.

(6) Fuel return to tank (automatic bleed).

(7) Fuel bypass valve.

(8) Rotary servo group.

(12) The shaft diameter is ... 12.682 ± 0.008 mm (.4993 ± .0003 in)

NOTE: The shaft must rotate freely after tightening cover.

(14) Lubricate seal with lubricant being sealed.

(16) Tighten solenoid assembly to a torque of ... 70 ± 10 N·m (50 ± 7 lb ft)

(17) 1N3801 Broken Link Spring:

Length under test force ... 26.23 mm (1.033 in)

Test force ... 4.5 ± 0.2 N (1.00 ± .05 lb)

Free length after test ... 49.29 mm (1.941 in)

Outside diameter ... 11.32 mm (.446 in)

(18) Lubricate seal lightly with glycerin.

(19) With rack pinned at "zero" position adjust sensor output (control group) as required.

(20) Tighten nut to a torque of ... 55 ± 7 N·m (41 ± 5 lb ft).

NOTE: See View F-F.

With timing pin in timing hole in fuel pump housing and timing slot in camshaft and No. 1 Cylinder at TC, compression stroke static timing is 19.5 degrees BTC.

(21) Fuel outlet to secondary filter.

(22) Fuel inlet from primary filter.

(23) Gear.

(24) The gap between gear (23) and the end of the digital speed sensor is 0.76 ± 0.15 mm (.030 ± .006 in).

Tighten the nut on sensor to a torque of ... 14 ± 1 N·m (10 ± 1 lb ft)
