Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

The 223-8995 Hose that connects the air cleaner with the turbocharger can come loose from the turbocharger. The 223-8995 Hose is held in place by a 295-5550 Band Clamp .

Solution

If the 223-8995 Hose is loose at the connection on the turbocharger replace the 295-5550 Band Clamp with the 226-0449 Hose Clamp . Torque the 226-0449 Hose Clamp to 6 N·m (53 lb in). Refer to illustration 1 for the correct orientation of the hose clamp. If the 223-8995 Hose is secured no action is necessary.
