Usage:
* Volt-Ohm meter (digital preferred). See Special Instruction SEHS7734 titled Use of the 6V7070 Heavy-Duty Digital Multimeter and the 6V7800 Regular-Duty Digital Multimeter for operating instructions, if necessary.
* 8T8726 Adapter Cable Assembly - Three pin breakout "T". Included with 3176 (7X1055) Digital Diagnostic Tool (DDT) Group.
* 8T8694 Adapter Cable Assembly - Five pin breakout "T".
* 8T8695 Adapter Cable Assembly - Nine pin breakout "T".

Do not use probes through the wire insulation. This will damage the wire insulation and reduce the 3176's resistance between circuits and to ground. |
* Wire removal tool - 1U5805 Electrical Connector for 12 and 14 gauge wire or 8T5318 Electrical Connector for 16 and 18 gauge wire.
* Contact OEM for suggested repair procedures to the truck wiring and pins. (Contact a Caterpillar dealer or a TEPS dealer for new connectors.)
