Front Wheel Assist Control
Note: Only the AP1000B and the BG260C are equipped with the Front Wheel Assist function.
The drive for the front tires of the wheeled pavers is determined by the status of the front wheel assist switch. The front wheel assist switch is on the operator station panel. The status of this switch is sent from the propel ECM to the conveyor ECM over the Cat Data Link. If the conveyor ECM receives the front wheel assist command from the propel ECM, the ECM outputs a 24 volt signal to the front wheel assist solenoid which will cause the front wheel drive to turn ON.
