The pinion clearance is correct when the solenoid position dimension (X) is 62.50 + 0.20 - 0.50 mm (2.461 + .008 - .020 in) from intermediate housing (1). The following procedure is used to adjust the solenoid position:
a. Loosen bolts (5) and move the solenoid until distance (X) is correct. Bracket (2) has elongated holes.
b. Tighten bolts (5) after the adjustments is correct to a torque of ... 8.5 ± 1.5 N· (75 ± 13 lb in)
