Problem:
Leaky seals may allow the 110-4397 Fuel Priming Pump Assembly to leak fuel when the fuel priming pump is being used. This pump assembly is used in the 110-4394 Fuel Priming Pump Group.
Solution:
Changes have been made to the 110-4397 Fuel Priming Pump Assembly which, tests show, have corrected this problem. All old stock of the 110-4397 Fuel Priming Pump Assembly and 110-4394 Fuel Priming Pump Group have been purged from the parts system. The changes to the fuel priming pump are effective with 3116 (4KG6352) and 3126 (8NM2010) Marine Engines.
Fuel injection pump assemblis that have the changes can be identified by a small groove that is machined into the pump handle shaft, just below the knob.
