New Hydraulic Oil Temperature Switch{7488}

Usage:

205 (3HC, 4DC),
206 (2RC, 3GC),
211 (4EC, 5CC),
212 (3JC, 5DC),
213 (9XB, 3ZC),
214 (9MB, 1KB),
224 (2JC, 5TC),
213B (1EJ),
214B (4CF),
214B FT (9MF),
224B (7WF) Excavators

Description of Change: A new hydraulic oil temperature switch with more accuracy and better service life is used.

Adaptable To: The new 8U8120 Switch is a direct replacement for the former 5W2687 Switch (Cancelled). It is also necessary to install an 8U8124 Wire (ground) and a 5W9277 Terminal when replacing the switch. These changes are effective with 213B (1EJ333), 214B (4CF501), 214B FT (9MF379), 224B (7WF156) Excavators. Use the following procedure to adapt earlier machines for the new switch.

NOTE: Wire group (ground wire) (1) will be attached at various places depending on which machine is being worked on, see the appropriate Illustration.

1. Remove the wire from the 5W2687 Switch and replace the 5W9290 Terminal (eye) with (5W9277) Terminal (3).

2. Replace the 5W2687 Switch with (8U8120) switch assembly (2). Attach the wire from Step 1.

3. Attach ground wire (1) (8U8124 Wire Group).
