NOTICE

Make sure the wear sleeves are installed even with the shoulders of the shaft, radius side out. If the edges of the sleeve and shoulder are not even they can damage the seals during assembly.

A force (F), 90° to the clutch lever, of 226 to 297 lb. (1005 to 1320 N) at a distance of 27.3 in. (693 mm) from the center of the lever shaft must be used to engage the clutch.

Tighten the bolt that holds the clutch lever on the lever shaft to ... 68 lb.ft.(94 N·m)

(1) Torque for hub nut ... 30 lb.ft.(40 N·m) + 240° to 270°

(2) Torque for bolts that hold the retainer in place ... 30 lb.ft.(40 N·m)

(3) End clearance for shaft ... .004 to .007 in.(0.10 to 0.18 mm)

(4) Thickness of clutch plate (new) ... .620 to .630 in.(15.75 to 16.00 mm)

(5) Torque for two bolts that hold the collar assembly together ... 68 lb.ft.(94 N·m)

(6) Torque for two bolts that hold the yoke to the shaft ... 68 lb.ft.(94 N·m)

(7) Torque for carrier assembly bolts ... 140 lb.ft.(190 N·m)
