(1) Lockscrew. To adjust, loosen the lockscrews and turn the cap clockwise (as seen from the terminal end) to lower the overspeed setting.

If the full load rpm of the engine is 1500 the contacts must close at:

On engine ... 1770 ± 25 rpm

On bench ... 885 ± 10 rpm

If the full load rpm of the engine is 1800 rpm the contacts must close at:

On engine ... 2124 ± 25 rpm

On bench ... 1062 ± 10 rpm
