Fuel Ratio Control

Usage:

Remove Fuel Ratio Control

1. Move the governor control lever to the "OFF" position.


TYPICAL EXAMPLE

2. Remove lockwire (1) from the bolts for the governor and fuel ratio control.

3. Remove two bolts (2) that hold the fuel ratio control in position. Disconnect line (4) from the fuel ratio control.

4. Pull the fuel ratio control up and to the side until the valve assembly of the fuel ratio control is free from the groove in the collar for the governor.

5. Remove fuel ratio control (3).

Install Fuel Ratio Control

1. Make sure the governor control is in the "OFF" position.


TYPICAL EXAMPLE

2. Install the fuel ratio control (1). Make sure the valve assembly of the fuel ratio control engages in the groove in the collar for the governor.

3. Install the two bolts that hold the fuel ratio control in position. Connect line (2) to the fuel ratio control.

4. Install a new lockwire and seal through the bolts for the fuel ratio control and governor.

5. Make an adjustment to the fuel ratio control. See, FUEL RACK SETTING in TESTING AND ADJUSTING.

Disassemble Fuel Ratio Control

start by:

a) remove fuel ratio control

1. Remove two bolts (1). Remove cover (2).

2. Remove spring (6), valve (5), spring (4) and spring (3) from the cover.

3. Remove washer (8) and diaphragm (7) from the valve.

4. Remove pin (11) from the valve.

5. Remove cover (9) and seal (10) from the valve.

6. Remove retainer (13) and valve assembly (12) from the cover.

7. Remove two seals (14) from the valve assembly.

Assemble Fuel Ratio Control

1. Install seal (14) on the valve assembly. Install seal (13) on the valve assembly.

2. Put valve assembly (15) in position in the cover (8). Install retainer (7) in the cover as shown.

3. Install seal (10) on valve (12). Install cover (11). Install pin (9) in the end of the valve.

4. Install a new diaphragm (4) on the cover. Install washer (3) on the valve.

5. Put clean SAE 30 oil on the valve.

6. Install spring (6) on the valve.

7. Put spring (5) in position over spring (6).

8. Install the valve in valve assembly (15).

9. Put spring (2) in position over cover (11).

10. Install cover (1) and the two bolts that hold it in position.
