1. Put identification on the electric wires as to their location on the starting motor. Disconnect the wires from the motor.

2. Fasten a hoist to the starting motor. Remove nuts (2), the washers and starting motor (1) from the flywheel housing. The weight of the starting motor is 75 lb. (34 kg).

Install Electric Starting Motor

1. Fasten a hoist to starting motor (1). Make sure the gasket is in position on the flywheel housing and install the starting motor. Install the nuts and washers to hold the starting motor.

2. Connect the electric wires to their correct location on the starting motor.
