Alternator
Usage:
Remove Alternator
1. Loosen nut (1). Remove the alternator belts.
2. Remove bolts (2) and (3).
3. Remove the alternator.
Install Alternator
1. Put the alternator in position and install the bolts that hold the alternator to the engine.
2. Install the alternator belts and make an adjustment to the belt tension. Correct adjustment for a used belt is 7/8 in. (22 mm) movement with an application of 25 lb. (110 N) force half way between the two pulleys. Correct adjustment for a new belt is 3/4 in. (19 mm) movement with an application of 25 lb. (110 N) force half way between the two pulleys.
