Rework Procedure
1. Remove 1V8031 pins at tilt link to tilt lever joint and 8X0753 (std. lift) or 8X3181 (high lift) Link And Bearing Assembly.
2. Bore the holes in the 8X0751 Levers that connect to 8X0753 Links (std. lift) or 8X3181 Links (high lift). Bore the holes to 198.13 ± 0.05 mm. (These are the lower holes of 8X0751 tilt levers when installed in the lift arms).
3. Install 7I5872 Link And Bearing Assemblies (high lift) or 7I5871 Link And Bearing Assemblies (std. lift) to bucket. Center cut end toward bucket. See notes below.
4. Install the off center cut end of above links (Step 3) to the 8X0751 Tilt Levers. Use four 7I5873 Collet Assemblies, two 103-1610 Pin Assemblies, two 3E8012 Bolts, two 8T1583 Nuts and four 7V2903 Washers. See notes below.
NOTE: A: Collet O.D.'s, I.D.'s and mating surfaces to be clean. Apply anti-seize to bolt threads, and I.D. of collets. Tighten bolts to 1800 + 200 N ·m. Tighten and impact joint sufficiently to cause the torque to drop to less than 950 N ·m. Tighten again to a torque of 1800 ± 200 N·m and apply second impact to cause torque loss to less than 1600 N ·m. Tighten to a final torque of 1800 ± 20 N·m.
Optional Collet Tightening Procedure:
Install pin and collets and press collets to pin with a 507,000 N force Min. Install and tighten bolts to a torque of 1800 ± 200 N·m.
NOTE: B: Install pin and collets. Aligning captive dowel in collet with pin. Orient plug in collet assembly to top position. Tighten per Note A. Clean and remove grease from all pin bore and bearing O.D. surfaces before assembly. Collets and pins should be centered axially.
NOTE: C: Do not exceed 542 N·m torque on 6V-8133 bolt on link assembly and bearing when using bolt to increase slot width for pin insertion or removal.
NOTE: D: Tighten 8T-0674 Bolt of link assembly to 890 ± 30 N ·m after 103-1610 Pin Assembly Cartridge is installed.
NOTE: E: Tighten all bolts and nuts to a torque of 1800 ± 200 N ·m after 10 and 50 hours of vehicle operation.
