Some remanufactured cylinder heads have improved manufacturing processes. To ensure that remanufactured cylinder heads in parts stock have these improvements, certain remanufactured cylinder heads need to be removed from parts stock and returned for rework.
Action Required
The following is a list of remanufactured cylinder heads that need to be removed from stock. Remove and return only those cylinder heads which have date codes prior to the dates given for each group of part numbers. The date code appears near the "OR" remanufactured part number stamped on the head. Cylinder heads that have a "W" marked on their shipping box have already been updated and are not to be returned. These cylinder heads also have a "W" stamped by the stamped part number and date code.

The date code is stamped near the remanufactured part number on the head casting.
Service Claim Allowances
Submit one claim for all cylinder heads removed from parts stock.

Return all cylinder heads that are removed from parts stock with a completed CCR/PL showing Caterpillar claim number to:
