New Fuel Nozzle Test Sheet Available

Usage:


All Caterpillar Diesel Engines Except 3500

A new fuel Nozzle Test Record sheet, Form SEHS8144, is available for dealer use. The record sheet has space to make a record of the test results for 16 fuel nozzles.

Explanation Of Illustration

1. Nozzle Number 1 is a good nozzle and can be used again.
2. Nozzle Number 2 failed the "Cap/Bleed Screw Leakage" test. Install a new seal. Put the cap on the nozzle and test it again.
3. Nozzle Number 3 failed the "Plugged Orifice" test. The test was stopped at that point.
4. Nozzle Number 4 failed the "Tip Leakage" test. The test was stopped at that point.
5. Nozzle Number 5 failed the "VOP" test. The test was stopped at that point.
6. Nozzle Number 6 had a tip that had been cleaned with a steel wire brush. No other tests were done after the "Visual Inspection".
7. Nozzle Number 7 had a broken tip. No other tests were done after the "Visual Inspection".
8. Nozzle Number 8 is a good nozzle and can be used again.
