New Torque Specification For Fuel Injection Pump Bushing
Usage:
3300 Series Direct Injection Industrial And Marine Engines With Scroll Fuel Systems
The torque specification for the fuel injection pump bushing on the above engines has been changed. The new torque will prevent distortion of the fuel pump barrel which can cause binding (seizure) of the parts on the inside of the pump. The new torque specification is 160 ± 14 N·m (120 ± 10 lb ft). The former torque specification was 190 ± 14 N·m (140 ± 10 lb ft).
Make a note of this new recommendation in your Service Manual for these engines.
