New Crankshaft Main Bearings Used

Usage:


All 3408 And 3412 Industrial, Marine And Generator Set Engines

Description of Change: New crankshaft main bearings are now used on all 3408 and 3412 Engines. The new bearing has a different aluminum alloy layer under the lead tin overlay. This new aluminum layer permits a longer service life after the overlay has been worn away.

Adaptable As: The new 1W6589 Main Bearing is a direct replacement for the 8N5421 Main Bearing on these engines.

The new bearing is in effect with the serial numbers shown in the chart.
