In the article "Use Correct Specifications To Check Piston Ring Gaps," the chart has an error. The chart which follows has the correct ring gap specifications.

Be sure to use correct specifications to check the ring gap in the above engines. The ring gaps must be checked while inside a new liner with a bore of 5.400". Correct ring gap specifications are given for both rectangular ring and Keystone piston ring designs in the chart which follows.

The ring gap will increase 0.08 mm (.003") for each 0.03 mm (.001") increase in the bore size.
