Use 6V4089 Reamer Assembly To Clean Nozzle Bores

Usage:

3100, 3200 and 3300 Series Engines With Direct Injection

Carbon deposits can make it very difficult to remove fuel injection nozzles. Two factors that increase carbon deposits in the nozzle bores are:

1. The installation of a nozzle that has a damaged carbon dam.
2. Damage to a good carbon dam caused by the installation of the nozzle into a bore with carbon build-up present.

The new 6V4089 Reamer Assembly is available to remove these carbon deposits. The reamer assembly is rotated with an open end wrench or tap driver. When used correctly the reamer will not remove metal from the nozzle bores.
