New Exhaust Manifold Has Slip-Joint Connections

Usage:

3408 And 3412 Industrial Engines With Dry-Type Exhaust Manifolds

Description of Change: New exhaust manifolds of a different design are used on 3408 and 3412 Industrial Engines equipped with dry-type exhaust manifolds. New air lines groups and new turbocharger oil lines groups also are used with the new exhaust manifolds.

The new manifold has a slip-joint connection. This will give a connection with less leakage than the flanges used on the former manifold.

Adaptable To: The new 9N5420 Manifold is a replacement for the former 4N1676 Manifold used on 3408 and 3412 Industrial Engines. To use the new manifold, the new parts shown in the charts must be used according to the engine arrangement number.
