Use Fluid-Type Vibration Damper To Control Vibrations
Usage:
3408 Marine Engines Equipped With 7211 Marine Transmission
A new fluid-type vibration damper is used on 3408 Marine Engines with Serial Numbers 99U1416-Up. See the article "Fluid-Type Vibration Damper Now Used Instead Of Rubber Type Damper", on page 7 of the July 5, 1978 Engine News.
It is also important to install a fluid-type vibration damper on earlier 3408 Marine Engines when used with a 7211 Marine Transmission. Use of the former rubber-type vibration damper in this application can cause damage to the transmission.
