3208 Industrial Engines
The June 4, 1980 Engine News articles, "Reverse Flow Check Assembly Now Used In Fuel Injection Pump," and, "New Check Valve Used In Fuel Injection Pump Assembly," told of two new check valves used in 3208 Industrial Engines.
The 8N1414 Fuel Injection Pump Check Assembly (reverse flow check) is used in 3208 Industrial Engines, Serial Numbers 90N37285-Up, with engine arrangement numbers 8N4537, 8N4538, 8N4539, 8N4540, 8N4541, 8N4542, 8N4543, 8N4544 or 8N4545.
All other 3208 Industrial Engine arrangements now use the 7N5148 Check Valve which has a groove.
DO NOT use the 8N1414 Fuel Injection Pump Check Assembly and the 7N5148 Check Valve in place of each other.
