Usage:
Some components of the 4S6553 Engine Evaluation Test Instrument Group have not been regularly available. Because of this problem, the 4S6553 Engine Evaluation Test Instrument Group has been canceled.
Two groups, an engine pressure group and a multiple use tachometer group, will be available in the future for replacement of the 4S6553 Engine Evaluation Test Instrument Group.
The 1P7443 Tachometer, 1P7444 Tachometer Generator and 4S6997 Manifold Pressure Group which are service components of the group, will be available for as long as there is a supply.
To keep a component supply available, it is Caterpillar's recommendation that these components, when in need of repairs, be exchanged.
Components and their current exchange prices are given in the chart which follows.

The components will be exchanged and shipment will be made in one or two work days. If a component is damaged beyond repair, you will be told, and a new component will have to be purchased from the Caterpillar Parts Department.
