Improvements Made To Water Separator Groups

Usage:

D330C, D333C, 3304 and 3306 Industrial and Marine Engines;
3208 Industrial Engines;
3208, 1673 and 3306 Truck Engines

Description of Change: A new base, element and element retainer clamp are now used in the water separator groups for the above models equipped with sleeve metering fuel systems.

The new base has straight thread-ports, which use a O-ring seal, instead of pipe-thread ports as used on the former base. The new water separator element uses a softer seal for a better glass-to-metal seal. The new element retainer clamp puts more force on the element for a better seal between the element and base. The result is less air leakage into the water separator.

It was some times possible for the former base, element and clamp to permit air leakage into the water separator.

Adaptable To: The new parts, used together, are adaptable to the models as shown in the chart which follows.
