Support Plates Must Be Used To Install Earlier Marine Transmissions

Usage:

7271 Marine Transmissions (36W1-225)

Description of Change: Support plates must be used to install earlier 7271 Marine Transmissions (36W1-225). These plates are 50.0 mm (1.969") thick, and must be used to give the necessary clearance for mounting holes to be drilled in the rails of the vessel. Also, the new plates are more rigid and give better support than the thinner plates formerly used. On 7271 Marine Transmissions 36W226-up, a change to the transmission housing gives the necessary clearance and rigid support without the plates.

Adaptable To: All 7271 Marine Transmissions 36W1-225.

INSTALLATION: See the illustration for installation.
