Engines Can Use Crankshafts With Either Six Or Eight Counterweights

3208 Engines
Description of Change: Crankshafts with either six or eight counterweights are used in the 3208 Engines. The difference in the number of counterweights has no effect on the engine performance. The 9N304 Crankshaft has six counterweights, and it has an eight-bolt flange. The 9N305 Crankshaft has eight counterweights, and it has a 10-bolt flange.
Adaptable As: Either crankshaft can be used on 3208 Engines. When a crankshaft with six counterweights is used where a crankshaft with eight counterweights was formerly used, be sure the holes in the crankshaft flange and the coupling or adapter are in alignment.
