Changes Made To 8S2243 And 8S4613 Wrenches Used On Fuel Injection Pumps

Usage:

Description of Change: 3/4"-16 threads have been added to the inside of the 8S2243 and 8S4613 Wrenches. If, after installation or removal of a nut, the wrench is difficult to remove, a 3/4"-16 bolt can be installed in the wrench. The bolt can be used to loosen the wrench before the retaining nut is completely removed from the pump housing.

The 8S4613 Wrench also had a .030" (0.76 mm) chamfer removed from the end of the splines and the splines were made longer. The longer splines make the wrench stronger for applications where the retaining nut is hard to remove. Removal of the chamfer gave more stability to the wrench during use. This prevents damage to the splines.

If desired, former 8S4613 Wrenches can be ground to remove the chamfer from the end of the splines. Clean each spline after the chamfer is removed.
