Temperature Compensator Conversion Group Available For Fuel System To Prevent Low Power Output

Usage:

3208 Industrial Engines In Agricultural Applications

Description of Change: On some 3208 Engines used in agricultural applications, high fuel temperatures have caused low power output because expansion of the fuel decreases its weight per unit volume. Since the fuel injection system measures the fuel according to volume, but power output is in direct relation to fuel weight, the lighter weight of hot fuel lowers the power output of the engine. To prevent this problem, a temperature compensator conversion group is released for use on these engines. The conversion group has a new torque control group (temperature compensating), which automatically adjusts the maximum rate of fuel flow according to fuel temperature. This will permit normal power output from the engine at any fuel temperature.

Adaptable To: All earlier 3208 Engines (90N) used in agricultural applications. This group can also be used in other industrial applications, but is not to be installed in 3208 Truck Engines (40S, 32Y). Installation instructions are sent with each conversion group.
