Description of Change: Different size filler band seals are now used in the upper groove of 5.75" and 6.25" bore cylinder liners used in the above models. Formerly, the same filler band seal was used on both the 5.75" and 6.25" bore cylinder liners. The new filter bands are more nearly the same size of the space between the cylinder liner and the cylinder block. Because of this, less expansion of the seals is necessary to give a good seal. A good seal is necessary at this location to prevent coolant leaks into the area around the cylinder liner flange.
Adaptable As: The new filler bands are a direct replacement for the former filler band as shown in the chart which follows. The former filler band is canceled.
