Description of Change: The rolling hose may come off the number two boom pulley and be damaged. A washer can be fabricated and installed on the pulley to help retain the rolling hose.
Adaptable To: The washer is adaptable to first production on the above mentioned machines equipped with 897362, 985347, 844209, 985437 and 844206 Boom Section Groups (Number Two). The washer is not available through the parts system but can be fabricated and installed using the following procedure.

(A) 20 ± 1 mm (.78 ± .04 in). (B) 130 ± 3 mm (5.12 ± .12 in). (C) 4 mm (.16 in).
1. Fabricate washer using a non-metallic material such as nylon or Lexan®. See illustration 1.

2. Remove 3B4624 Split Pin (1), 8T4123 Washer (2) and 897325 Pulley (3) from 897326 Roller Pin (4). See illustration 2.

3. Install 8T4123 Washer (2), 897325 Pulley (3), fabricated washer (6), new 8J1899 Washer (5) and new 3B4624 Split Pin (1) onto 897326 Roller Pin (4).
