Two Types Of Maintenance Management Publications Available For Truck Engines

Usage:


Two new types of publications are available to aid in truck engine maintenance. The following is a description of the contents of each of the new types. The publications may be ordered through normal literature ordering channels.

Operation And Maintenance Management Guides will provide the user with information and instructions on increasing efficiency and reducing operating cost. This guide contains extended maintenance schedules, up to and including overhaul. The Operation And Maintenance Management Guides emphasize Value Planed Repair (repair before failure). They provide service interval information that allows the user to achieve the lowest owning and operation cost over the life of the engine. Some of the other topics discussed are Fuel Economy, Engine Performance, Cold Weather Operation, Engine Operating Cost, Extended Service Coverage and Performance Analysis Report (PAR). The 3406B Truck Engine Operation And Maintenance Management Guide, Form SEBU6026-01, is the first of this type of guide. 3208 and 3306B Truck Engine Operation And Maintenance Management Guides will be available soon.

Maintenance Management Schedules For On Highway Truck Engines is available. This guide provides updated and extended maintenance schedules. It also contains information about Maintenance Management, Customized Maintenance Management (CMM), Scheduled Oil Sampling (S ·O·S)and Maintenance Records. This guides should be used in conjunction with the appropriate Operation And Maintenance Guides. The Maintenance Management Schedules For On Highway Truck Engines is Form SEBU6104.
