New, Tougher Gasket Used Between Block And Front Housing

Description of Change: A new cylinder block gasket is used between the block and front housing on all 3408 Truck Engines. The gasket is made of a tougher material that offers greater resistance to wear.
The former gasket material sometimes wore away due to the slight motion between the housing and block during engine operation.
Adaptable As: The new 4W5599 Cylinder Block Gasket is a direct replacement for the former 4N1625 Cylinder Block Gasket.
The new gasket is in effect with Serial No. 28V4708.
