Two Different Piston Oil Ring Designs Used

Usage:


3306, 3406 And 3408 Truck Engines

Two different piston oil ring designs are used in the above engines. The illustration shows the differences in the cross sections of the two designs. An oil ring of either design may be replaced with an oil ring of the other design. Oil rings of both designs may be used in the same engine. Both designs provide similar performance. Both oil ring designs have the same part number.

NOTE: Each oil ring design must be used with the correct spring. The correct spring is provided with each oil ring. Do NOT use the spring from one design oil ring with the other design oil ring.
