New Caterpillar Truck Engine Air Filters (north America)

Usage:

Caterpillar Tractor Co. announced ten new air filter elements and an air service indicator for truck engine use. The new, competitively priced filters are designed especially to meet the demands of Caterpillar engines. The offering will fill the majority of filter needs for on-highway OEM trucks using Caterpillar 3208, 3306, 3406 and 3408 Engines.

Benefits of the new air filters include improved engine performance, longer life and lower cost per hour because of features such as:

1. Uniform Pleat Spacing System. This unique system interlocks media paper pleats to prevent individual pleat movement. The Caterpillar design virtually eliminates bunching or gapping of the media folds to ensure optimum filtering surface area throughout the service life of the element.
2. Special Media Paper Formulation, not found in major competitors' elements. This provides maximum dust holding capacity per square foot of media and the lowest cost per hour.

To provide the most value from the new air filters, Caterpillar also offers a new air filter service indicator for truck engine use. The indicator readily indicates the filter's condition and eliminates unnecessary downtime from periodic filter inspections, as well as the risk of engine damage from dirt entering intakes during needless filter inspections.

Together, the air service indicator and advanced design filters offer the best air filtration system for Caterpillar engines. Both are available at any of the 2,000 Caterpillar truck engine parts and service locations in North America.
