New Tools Available To Change Brakesaver Control Valve Diaphragm

Usage:

All 3306,3406 and 3408 Truck Engines Equipped With A BrakeSaver

A new FT1895 Plug and 5B5620 Bolt are available to help reduce the time needed to change the diaphragm in the BrakeSaver control valves used with the above truck engines. The plug and bolt will hold the control valve spool in place and prevent a loss of oil from the valve while the diaphragm is replaced. The FT1895 Plug and the 5B5620 Bolt can be used with the following procedure to replace the 9G41 Diaphragm in the BrakeSaver control valve used in the above truck engines.

Procedure To Replace The Diaphragm In Brakesaver Control Valve

1. Install the 5B5620 Bolt into the FT1895 Plug as shown in Illustration 1.

2. Remove the plug marked "TO CLR" from the bottom of the control valve (see Illustration 2) and install the plug and bolt.
