Hardened Spacers Help Keep Bolts Tight
Usage:
All 3406 And 3406B Engines Equipped With An Aftercooler
Description of Change: New hardened spacers are now used in the water aftercooler groups on 3406 and 3406B Engines. These new spacers help keep the mounting bolts tight.
Formerly, soft spacers and hardened washers were used with mounting bolts. These soft spacers did not keep the correct torque on the mounting bolts when they were tightened. This would permit the bolts to work loose.
Adaptable As: The new 7W3447 Spacer is a direct replacement for the former 8B2026 Spacer and 8M9024 Washer in the aftercooler groups.
