TRUCK ENGINE NEWS, MARCH, 1985, PAGE 3, "New Service Tools Available". Under "TOOL ANNOUNCEMENT"SENS6782, the information under "Application"is incorrect, it should read:

This tool group provides a convenient and accurate method for setting or checking the rack position on all Caterpillar engines except 3500 Series and engines equipped with new scroll fuel systems or sleeve metering fuel systems.

Some tools have a Special Instruction that shows how to use the tool. If available, the Special Instruction number is shown in the last column of the chart along with the Tool Announcement form number.
