Valve Springs Must Be Removed Before Fuel Injection Nozzle Adapter Assembly Is Removed
Usage:
3406B (7FB) Truck Engines
The valve springs used on 3406B Truck Engines have a larger outside diameter than the valve springs used on 3406 Truck Engines. This larger diameter causes the valve springs to overlap the 1W2950 Adapter Assembly.
For removal of the adapter assemblies, first put the desired cylinder on top dead center. This will prevent the valves from falling into the cylinder when the valve springs are removed. Remove the valve springs and then remove the adapter assembly. This procedure must be repeated for each cylinder.
