3406 Remanufactured Truck Engines Available

Usage:

Five 3406 Remanufactured Truck Engines are now available. These engines are available in 290, 325, 350, 380 and 400 horsepower configurations. All are direct injected, turbocharged engines. The 350, 380 and 400 horsepower engines also have aftercoolers.

These remanufactured engines include the latest improvements made to new 3406 Truck Engines. Some of these improvements include Teflon front and rear crankshaft seals, improved fuel nozzle adapters, copper bonded rod and main bearings, pistons with 3.9 mm (.16 ") top rings and wide, tapered connecting rods (on engines with aftercoolers).

These remanufactured engines are available in the United States and Canada as replacements for either 3406 PC or DI Truck Engines (92U, 57X). See the chart that follows for the part number of the remanufactured 3406 Truck Engines. Included in the chart is the form number of the Special Instruction that has the installation procedure.

Additional information is available in the Cateprillar Truck Engine Remanufactured Products Cross Reference, Form PEGP3807.
