Replacement Valve Guides Can Be Used To Recondition Cylinder Heads

Usage:

All 1100 Series and 3208 Engines

Description of Change: Two new valve guides (one intake and one exhaust) can now be used to recondition cylinder heads on the above engines. These valve guides can be installed as a replacement for original valve guides which have worn beyond their maximum tolerances. Formerly, the only way to recondition worn valve guides was to knurl the inside diameter.

Special Instruction, Form SMHS8277, has complete information on the installation of the new valve guides.

Adaptable To: The new 4W3778 (Intake) and 4W3779 (Exhaust) Valve Guides are adaptable to all the above engines.
