FT1808 Cable Permits Easier Use Of 6V2100 Multitach To Check Engine Or Alternator RPM

Usage:

An FT1808 Magnetic Input Adapter Cable can be fabricated for use with the 6V2100 Multitach. The cable can be used with the multitach to check alternator rpm.

To measure alternator rpm, connect the lug end of the cable to the "R" terminal on the alternator. Connect the plug end of the FT1808 Cable to the 5P7362 Mag Input Cable that is connected to the multitach mag input. This method gives the alternator rpm which is a ratio of the engine rpm. See the chart for the P/REV numbers for the specific alternator to be checked. Additional information to check the alternator "R" terminal output can be found in the Electronic Monitoring System (EMS) Service Manual, Form SENR2945.

Drawings of the FT 1808 Magnetic Input Adapter Cable are available from your Division Service Manager.
