Description of Change: A new camshaft assembly is used on 3408 Truck Engines. The gear used on the new camshaft assembly has more resistance to pitting than the gear used on the former camshaft.
Adaptable As: The new 2W7980 Camshaft Assembly is a direct replacement for the former 1W5058 Camshaft Assembly which is canceled. The new 2W5288 Gear used in the new camshaft assembly can also be used as a replacement for the 7N8345 Gear used in the former camshaft assembly.
