New Turbocharger Has Thicker Mounting Flange To Prevent Breakage
Usage:
3208 Truck Engines Equipped With A Turbocharger
Description of Change: New turbocharger groups are now used on the above engines. These new groups have new center housing assemblies with thicker mounting flanges. The thicker mounting flanges will decrease the possibility of breakage when the turbocharger is fastened to the engine. Because of the thicker flanges it is necessary to use longer bolts.
Reports show that some of the former housings have cracked when they were fastened to the engine.
Adaptable As: The new parts, when used together, are direct replacements for the former parts as shown in the chart.
