New Specification For Adjustment Of Jacobs Engine Brake
Usage:
All 3406 Truck Engines So Equipped
There has been a change to the specification for the adjustment of the slave piston for the Jacobs Engine Brake, when used on 3406 Truck Engines. The slave piston lash setting of 1.52 mm (.060 ") is now used on all 3406 Truck Engines equipped with a Jacobs Engine Brake.
Formerly, two settings were used, one for the 360 horsepower PCTA engine, and one for all other engines. The setting of 1.52 mm (.060 "), which was used on 360 horsepower PCTA engines, is now used for all engines.
Make a note of this change in your Service Manual.
