Removal Of Hydraulic Override From Fuel Ratio Control

Usage:


Turbocharged 3208 Truck Engines (2Z)

Description of Change: The hydraulic override (fuel ratio control solenoid group) has been removed from the fuel ratio control on turbocharged 3208 Truck Engines. The hydraulic override was added to the fuel ratio control to permit easier starting during cold weather. But, it has been found that the override is not necessary.

Adaptable To: The 2W7141 Hydraulic Override Service Group can be installed in place of the fuel ratio control solenoid groups on all turbocharged 3208 Truck Engines. Special Instruction, SEHS8118 has the complete procedure for removal of the components in the solenoid group and installation of the components from the service group. The chart which follows shows the components of the 2W7141 Hydraulic Override Service Group.
