New Fasteners Used For Fuel Injection Lines

Usage:

All 3306 Truck Engines With DI Scroll Fuel System

Description of Change: New screws, bolts, clamps and bracket assemblies are used in the fuel injection lines group for the above engines.

The new screws are made of softer material. The new screws will twist off (break) before they can be tightened enough to cause damage to the fuel lines. The screws can be tightened to 2.3 ± 0.2 N·m (20 ± 2 lb in).

The new clamps are made of a thinner metal and are made to hold only two lines together at a time. This makes a more flexible assembly of the fuel lines and clamps. This will decrease the stresses on the fuel lines when they are installed.

Adaptable As: The new parts, when used together, are direct replacements for the former parts as shown in the chart. The new parts are in effect with Serial Number 63Z387.
