Value Planned Engine Service: The Economical Way To Engine Repair

Usage:

We know that now, more than ever, low cost is uppermost in your mind when it comes to engine service of any type. Value Planned repair options, ranging from tune-ups to in-frame overhauls, are the answer. Whether they are performed before or after failure has occurred, Value Planned repairs are designed to give you the most efficient repair at the lowest possible flat rate price. Most importantly, Value Planned repairs mean no surprises. You'll know what type of repair your engine needs and the cost beforehand.

With Value Planned engine service, a given repair is approached in three basic steps: the repair determination (Is a repair needed? How much damage is evident?), the development of repair options, and the selection of the most appropriate option. Value Planned repairs are based on the following elements.

REPAIR DETERMINATION

After a discussion with the user, an appropriate mechanical inspection is made and a repair specification (which outlines what is and what is not included in the repair), is presented to the user at a flat rate price. This way, the user understands the nature and cost of the repair before it is performed.

SCHEDULING

With before failure repairs, the dealer and user can schedule a repair at a time that is convenient and practical to both. Effective scheduling is difficult with after failure repairs, and even Value Planned after failure repairs present scheduling problems.

PARTS AVAILABILITY

Unexpected delays in obtaining parts which increase downtime are kept to a minimum with Value Planned repairs. All the parts needed to perform the repair, as outlined in the repair specification, are made available before the vehicle arrives for repair.

REPAIR TIME

Value Planned repairs allow for accurate determination of both repair time and downtime since the type and degree of repair have already been identified via the repair specification.

FLAT RATE PRICING

Flat rate pricing enables the dealer to quote the user a price before the repair is peformed. This allows the user a degree of control in the repair decision.

If you want to keep your owning and operating costs down, take advantage of our selection of Value Planned repair options. For more information, call your Caterpillar dealer.
