3408 Truck Engines
Description of Change: New exhaust tubes, a new support and new washers are used in the air lines groups on the above engines. The new tubes have a better surface finish, so they will seal better. They also have an added radius, which decreases stresses, at the flanged end. The new support is thicker and has a rib design for extra strength. The new washers are used for the installation of the new support. These new parts will decrease exhaust leaks and give a longer service life.
Adaptable As: The new parts are direct replacements for the former parts as shown in the chart. The new parts are in effect on 3408 Truck Engines with Serial Number 28V4538.
