Different O-ring Seals Used In Exhaust Gas Recirculation Actuator Group

Usage:

3208 Truck Engines (32Y) Equipped With An Exhaust Gas Recirculation System

Description of Change: Different O-ring seals are used in the exhaust gas recirculation actuator group on 3208 Truck Engines equipped with an exhaust gas recirculation system. Formerly, seals which were made from a silicone material were used in the actuator. These seals did not have enough resistance to heat. This resulted in oil leakage at the actuator. The new seals used are of the viton type which have more resistance to heat. Use of these seals will prevent oil leakage at the exhaust gas recirculation actuator.

Adaptable As: Direct replacement as shown in the chart.
